Universal Music Group has appointed Richelle Parham, Head of Marketing, Strategy and Consumer Commerce, to the role of President of Global Ecommerce and Business Development.
In this newly created role, Parham will oversee UMG’s global e-commerce strategy and business development across the company’s labels, music publishing company, business units and territories. Parham’s appointment is effective June 2 and she will be based in Santa Monica, where she will report to UMG CEO Sir Lucian Grainge.

Parham has a 25-year career in global strategy and marketing at companies such as eBay and Visa.
She joined UMG after leaving WestRiver Group, where she served as Managing Director, leading investments in the customer experience economy. Prior to WestRiver, she served as General Partner of Camden Partners, a private equity firm specializing in investing in growing global consumer companies.
Previously, Parham was Director of Marketing for eBay, where she used her experience in consumer and digital marketing to develop strategies and execute all marketing activities to reach over 180 million active users. ‘eBay.
