Belize weather: Keep dodging showers

By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Weather Service today forecast cloudy skies at times and a few isolated showers and thunderstorms, mainly over northern and central regions this morning, decreasing. Tonight, expect more showers, thunderstorms and rainy spells across the country.

High temperatures peak at 86 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 89 degrees inland, and 78 degrees in the hills. Low temperatures tonight are 78 degrees along the coast, 72 degrees inland and 68 degrees in the hills.

The winds are from the east at 5 to 15 knots. The sea will be slightly choppy with two to four foot waves.

A small craft advisory is in effect for occasional gusty winds and locally rough seas during heavy showers and thunderstorms.

The tides will be high at 12:05 p.m. this afternoon and 11:53 p.m. tonight and low at 6:05 a.m. tonight. The sun sets at 5:56 a.m. tonight and rises at 5:40 a.m. Wednesday morning.

On Wednesday, expect showers, thunderstorms and periods of rain across the country, easing in the afternoon before rising overnight.
